The next face of Chiquita

Day 34: Is Dino the next face of Chiquita?

(So this photo technically wasn't taken today, but while scrolling through phone pics today, I couldn't help but laugh when I realized the remarkable resemblance to the Chiquita girl.)

Not your average day

33
Day 33: Funny how the smallest thing can put a giant smile on your face! I returned from my first PRSA meeting to this goofy character flashing on my computer. I miss Stacey being right over the wall at work. And then the day continued to be pleasant, ending atop the Amway Grand with interesting company. But a city view just doesn't compare to this smiling strummer.

Good food makes for a good day

Day 32: The excitement of my day revolved around food. Doesn't look so appealing but the lunch buffet at Palace of India is delish. Lunch w/Greg, Dale and Ajay and a tasty dinner with the Olsons!

$35 poorer and 35 times happier

Day 31: Yippee! Just finished my first guitar lesson! I'm happy to report my fingers are killing me. And look, I've got homework!

Disappointing design

30

Day 30 is a rant. To all my graphic designer friends - What do you think about using a stock logo? I can count the number of times I've caught this one in use on two hands. Logos are all about branding yourself, right? Setting yourself apart from the competition? I would imagine if the company's owner knew this thing was branding 12 other companies in W. Mich., they'd think twice about making the selection. Is there some "graphic design" firm out there selling this crap, claiming custom designs (the interior G, and I've seen it as an E, an L, etc)? It's just not right! Same thing goes for one who'd give their clients anything with Papyrus (couldn't resist).

They say pictures are worth a thousand words. I wish mine could speak.

Day 29: Today's pic was nearly my homemade floor cleaner (you could say I'm somewhat undomesticated so I was quite proud of my concoction) and my Norah Jones sheet music purchase (I've wanted it for months).

Then Calin came home from a weekend at his Dad's. Of course, he stole the cleaner's limelight. "This is gonna be cool, Mom. Take a picture." And he crawls into the table.

I felt 21 again

Day 28: The best part of today was reuniting with Becky like old times. Rockwell's first (with Sara & co), then Stella's and dancing. It was really a toss up between this photo and the guy making hand shadows in the spotlight.

Comic relief

27

Day 27! A less-than-stellar day at work called for a little comedy club laughter. Godfrey was hilarious. What would you do if you encountered a bear? :) His voice and gestures were totally Michael Poulopoulos!

The first time I tried lamb chops

Day 26: Much needed girls night out at The Monkey Bar. Their Restaurant Week menu was delish. I decided to branch out and try curried lamb chops. Tasted like steak. See you two at Bar Divani next week!

Moments turn into memories

25
Day 25: Glad I got to attend aimWest's Social Media Confab today. Got my inspiration fix. Learned a lot. Heard a lot of great reminders. Mingled with fantastic people.

The guy on stage is Jeff Hayzlett, Kodak's CMO. He was hilarious. As he spoke about Kodak branding themselves as emotional technology producers, it made me think of Project 365. A photo definitely speaks a thousand words. And while mine likely don't mean much to you, I can't wait to look back and remember these moments in time.

A fave moment today was tonight's drive home. Calin and I invented a new game; we played hide-and-seek with Mr. Moon. Unfortunately, the moon won so we couldn't snap a pic.
